Art Deco drew on many other sources, such as pictorial conventions of contemporary avant-garde art – not only fauvism, but also of cubism, futurism and constructivism. A study of the development of Art Deco shows how closely it was linked to transformations in fashion and how art and fashion nurtured each other.
